Importance Of Feedback

  If there is a perfect tool for growth, to motivate and improve,  effective and actionable feedback is the way to go. Recently I read a book titled, `Delivering Effective Feedback’ by Harvard Business Review Press’ a compilation of research papers and articles by different authors. Though the book I mentioned is for organizations and institutions, especially business organizations, I found it suitable for educational institutions as well. Not only that, even the approach discussed is applicable in every walk of life, be it family or social groups. Preventing violence in students

There is growing concern among the people regarding the cases of violence and intolerance among the school going children. This seems to have been on rise in the recent past and our policy makers seem to have no clue about the same or they deliberately ignore that.  Their promptness can be seen when some case is reported in the newspaper, and the blame game starts but fades in the background of noise of some other incident. The recent incident reported regarding a child of Std-I, who had a fight with II Std. child of a school and one of them succumbed to death as a consequence of the injuries sustained by him due to the fight, is alarming. They must be of age of 5-7 years and that kind of violence? But should it surprise us? New Year - Promises And Actions

One more year has gone by and we have entered in a year which takes us closer to the end of the first quarter of the century. There have been discussions and talks of the 21 st century and the skills to face the challenges paused by the changes which are so fast-paced that it is becoming increasingly difficult for the human race to adapt. To do so education has to be given all required focus in the age of AI and ML. The children are to be made aware of the possible advantages and disadvantages of AI and so much dependency on the tools should be avoided because technology might make the brain a bit lethargic.
